Autumn Hath Returned

Just a fun poem for the season .. enjoy the fall and holiday time

Autumn hath return to our world
Changing our ways of enjoyment

The sudden chill in the air reminds us
That winter is almost here

The landscape mirrors the change
As the greenness of youth fades away

Animals grow fur longer, denser
Humans drag out sweaters and fleeces

Each in their own way coping
With the motion of the universe

Nature so finely tuned, hence accurate
That one domino sets the next color to emerge

Autumn accordingly perfect in creation
A fitting end to youth, a beginning to the end

Symbolizing the richness of the harvest
The fulfillment of middle age

Colors of middle age come forth
As the year slowly decays and dies

One part of my life is in the science of anthropology and archaeology where I did comparative work. My other life that I am now pursuing is writing along the lines of fantasy/sci fi fictional writing as my one way to stay sane in this other insane world. Please enjoy the selections you will find in my blog.
